Nikon updates the range of its mirrorless Nikon 1 presented J5: it is a solid changes updated in the processor, in the sensor and in various characteristics, including the adoption of a double adjustment ring.

There are many points of view under which J5 is a solid evolution of the previous models. One stands out and will be well-pleasing to fans: in addition to the primary ring concentric to the rear four-way pad, makes its appearance in a second adjustment ring, this time concentric to the start button of the video recording.
In this way, the manual mode and the semiautomatic be used in a more simple and direct, for example by adjusting the exposure compensation without having to press any buttons. Moreover, these methods are finally appeared on the mode dial: so now to select them is no longer necessary to enter the menu, as was the case before.
One of the strengths of the Nikon 1 remains the focus: they were the first cameras to bring the focus on phase detection sensor: the new 20.8 megapixel CMOS adopts hybrid technology and offers 171 areas in contrast detection 105 and phase detection. The new sensor, devoid of anti-aliasing filter is accompanied by an updated processor, for the accuracy EXPEED 5A. The sensitivity is moving between 160 and 12,800 ISO.
Among interesting updates the adoption of a pop-up flash NG 5, while there was not enough space to integrate a sled for external flash. Another compromise sharpened has had to come to keep the size as compact as possible was the integration of a MicroSD slot for storing pictures and videos. The latter remains a strong point, with Full HD support up to 60p, 720p up to 120 fps and ability to go up to 4K (although only 15 fps) or go down with the resolution to 400 x 144 pixels but with a frame rate of well 1,200 frames per second.
The display gains a tilting system to take both with the camera high above your head, both Selfie perfectly framed. The screen, which measures 3″ diagonal, offers support touchscren allowing easier navigation even in the menu. Other features are the Wi-Fi connectivity with NFC support for fast connection to smartphones and tablets compatible.

Thanks to the continuous shooting speed and the hybrid autofocus system, which allows you to capture anything that may escape even an SLR camera, nothing will appear to move too quickly for the Nikon 1 J5. You can shoot up to 20 fps with continuous AF or up to 60 fps with fixed focus on the first frame. For easy access to the ways sequence of the camera, simply turn the mode dial on Sport.
You can then select the speed at which photograph and instantly view the action sequences as fast as a single group of shots. No matter how fast the subject is moving, the fast hybrid AF system Nikon ensures precision in every shot.
The system uses 171 points autofocus to lock quickly on the subject, going instantly from 105 points AF phase detection to fast AF with contrast detection. The AF phase detection detects movement in an incredible speed, while the contrast-detect AF extends to the edge of the frame to allow the precise focus of the peripheral subjects, even in low-light conditions.
Creating and sharing
The Nikon 1 J5 is a compact camera and functional and share one memorable shot is now easier than ever. The wide space between the rings allows you to use them without looking away from the subject and the mode dial lets you easily switch from P, S, A and M to the Sports mode. You can also assign frequently used settings to the button Fn (Function), positioned frontally.
The ergonomics of the Nikon 1 J5 ensures a secure grip while the LCD monitor 7.5 cm and 1037 k points, tilting, ensures total control of the subject. You can make exciting times, even moving subjects, from below or from an elevated position – thanks inverted corner of 86 degrees.
