The latest estimates predict a strong growth in sales of tablet systems 2-in-1, with a good percentage of Windows solutions. A dynamic that makes up for the decline in demand for the tablet, but that manufacturers must seize the best.
The tablet market is recording from some quarters to this part of the signals of contraction, but this is partly offset by a growth in popularity of 2-in-1. We refer to those notebook systems that combine a screen with touch functionality, which can be physically detached from the base containing the keyboard: in this way, you can easily switch from traditional notebook mode to that tablet and vice versa, depending on the necessity of use of the moment.
Strategy Analytics indicates, in its recent report, as estimates provide for an increase of 91% of this market segment over the next five years thanks to a gradual decline in selling prices and an improved design and features implemented.
The estimates also provide that the tablet solutions based on the Windows operating system will know, during 2015 and in the years to come an increase in demand, reaching a market share of 10% by the end of 2015. The popularity of Windows 10 but also the move Microsoft Surface with the products of the family have gradually helped to clear these products among consumers.
Tablets 2-in-1 will have an estimated greater market success than the proposed slate, which already during 2015 have seen a drop in interest than in the past just for the benefit of the proposed 2-in-1. The flexibility of use of these solutions, not to mention those products that allow you to configure how even more different than traditional tablets and notebooks, it is in our view a strong push to the future success.
But what manufacturers will continue to develop will be a constant evolution of these platforms, avoiding to be anchored to successful design at the present time but that soon could not be more appropriate to user needs. This is an example how developed by Microsoft with the third generation of Surface Pro platform, with which it has been kept in the common approach based Surface Pro and Surface Pro 2 but combining this number of innovations that have significantly increased the quality of the product and productivity levels for users.
