The impatient can then already try it, but only if you update the app on a device with the Developer Preview 3 build of Marshmallow. The arrival of the next major release of Android is expected in the coming weeks, at least on the latest Nexus devices.

Now on Tap is a new method of proactive investigations and ” context-aware “, that is able to probe into the page content and application active in the background to provide any answers to users. For example: if you are viewing a message that includes the name of a movie, with a double tap on the Home button, you will be able to receive information about the movie or know in which movies will be screened in the surrounding area.

Another example would be that of a song playing in the background, which you can request information by voice without necessarily specifying the name or artist. The device already knows, in short, what the user refers based on an analysis of what is happening on the device, the position and other elements analyzed. The function was not yet integrated into various Developer Preview releases.
