Up to 10 cores for future Intel CPU Enthusiast
The Core i7-6950K CPU, next-generation enthusiast-class desktop processor from Intel, will integrate 10 core 8 against the current: to assess how they will be exploited by users enthusiasts.
There are 10 core in future Intel CPU targeted at a desktop-class enthusiast. Some rumors appeared online these days reported for the model Core i7-6950X this number of cores, combined with HyperThreading technology for a total of 20 threads, which can be processed in parallel.
To use this Intel architecture known as the code name of Broadwell-E, the same as for the Xeon family processors on the market. It is this proximity to the CPU Xeon leading confirms this rumor: models Xeon-based architecture Broadwell are available in versions with 10 and more cores.
The other specifications duplicate the Haswell-E proposals currently on the market: quad channel DDR4 memory controller, PCI Express 3.0 controller up to 40 lines, a total of 25 Mbytes of L3 cache in combination with the core 10 and the possibility to manually set the multiplier frequency so as to facilitate the overclocking.
According to this source the Core i7-6950X will match 10 cores with a clock speed of 3 GHz; for CPU Core i7-6900K will find 8 cores clocked at 3.3 GHz, while the Core i7-6850K and Core i7-6800K models will find 6 core with clock frequencies of respectively 3.6 GHz and 3.4 GHz.
These CPUs will continue to use motherboards with Intel X99, those currently on the market in conjunction with processors Haswell-E. This will require a BIOS update in order to make these platforms compatible with the new processors.
