By now, we have all our favorite DVD collections, from movies to amateur footage. It happens that over the years the optical media, DVD, to wear may be damaged and remain digital media unreadable.
But then how can we do so as not to lose your favorite DVD? A great solution is to make backup copies. Here is a guide on how to convert video DVD to Divx.
1.) To do this, we can rely on a free software available online. The software is called DVDx. First, we make the download of the software that we are going to use; the current version of the software is DVDx 4.0.1.0. We can download from the following page: DVDx 4. Once in the site will need to click on the download External Mirror 1, to download the executable file of the software. After the download go to locate the downloaded file. Run it by double clicking on the icon. The installation screen click I accept the agreement and click the Next button. Following the installation will end and we will be asked whether to start the software and view the installation notes. We can clear both squares sprouted and click Finish. To do this, we need to make the conversion from DVD to Divx format compressed video. The video format you can open it in many playback units, such as computers, readers, TV, smartphones. Once you create the file, we can decide whether to load it into a CD, because be relatively small, compared to a normal DVD, or leave it in our computer.
2.) Now let’s use the software. First, we need to open the software from the shortcut icon in our desktop, by double clicking on it. Then you need to put our DVD that we are going to convert. Later, we have to click on the codec that prefer DivX or XviD.
3.) Then you have to click Apply. Then you need to click Select output files, the File menu, and then Browse. Having reached this point, we can start the conversion by clicking the button with the red dot, called Encode. But how can we do this? Simple, just a computer and a software to convert or compress better, our physical DVD into a single file that we will meet in our computer.
