How to install Whatsapp on Mac
WhatsApp is an instant messaging application, designed exclusively for smartphones, with which you can send free instant messages to all the contacts in your address book, as long as they have the program installed on their phone.
Through a simple internet connection, with this program you can exchange messages, share photos, videos and music with our friends.
Although this is an application designed to be applied to smartphones, there are means, which allow you to install Whatsapp on my Mac.
Require :
- Internet Access.
- Mobile Number.
- Your Mac.
1.) Use Whatsapp on Mac is possible thanks to an Android emulator, which is a software that allows us to simulate the Android operating system designed to run on mobile devices, even on the PC. The program that we will use, for use with Windows, Mac and Linux, and can be downloaded free of charge, the Android SDK, one of the most robust and complete software around for the creation of applications containing an emulator.
2.) After you have downloaded and installed the Android SDK from the official site, start the program and create a virtual device using the command ” Create new Android Virtual Device (AVD) / Create ADV ” and we start the emulator by clicking on ” start ” in the window that apparent hereinafter. At this point, we can connect with our emulator to the Internet via Google and try the official website of WhatsApp Messenger, from which we are going to download the program and install it as if we were using a smartphone.
3.) After completing the installation of Whatsapp, start the program, we will ask you to associate a phone number to be able to use the service. You can use the same number you normally use on your smartphone, or preferably use another one, so you do not have to authenticate each time we move from using WhatsApp Messenger from your Mac to your smartphone, and vice versa. For authentication, insert the your country code prefix (+.. ) followed by our mobile phone number, we can choose to receive a six-digit code with a text message or making a call by voice recorded with the option ” Call me ” ..
4.) Once complete, you can add contacts to our list and start using WhatsApp Messenger, sending free messages to friends directly from our Mac. If you are using a new SIM as suggested, you obviously do not have access to old contacts, which will be added to our list.
