The Chinese company, engaged in the smartphone and mobile device industry, will debut also in the mobile PC but with slightly revised plans: the debut is expected for the second quarter of the year.
The commercial debut of the first notebooks developed by the Chinese Xiaomi will take place during the second quarter of 2016, according to what is indicated by Digitimes in this news. Initial plans called for a debut as early as the first quarter of 2016.
The Chinese company will be ready for commercialization in the market in volumes from the month of June, with a start of production scheduled for May. Moving forward the start date of sales than originally expected it is not linked to difficulties in production regarding the need to develop the best business strategy and identify sales channels.
There are several companies, especially Chinese, specialized in the smartphone industry and the mobile devices that are choosing to immigrate in the PC market. The passage is very interesting, but it collides with a different commercial approach in the world of PC compared to that of the smartphone and phone overall.
From this comes the need to build a specific sales channel, which takes into account the particularities of notebook sales.
Xiaomi plans to achieve sales of between 400,000 and 1 million first-generation notebook in the course of 2016. The first model on the market will feature a 12.5-inch diagonal display and use the operating system Windows 10.
The company, according to the source, it is planning a public event for next March 29 but on this occasion, the new notebook should not be presented in virtue of magazines timing.
