ASUS VivoMini VC66: Compact mini-PC with CPU Kaby Lake and optional optical drive
ASUS VivoMini VC66 is a compact computer with low fuel consumption but offers potentially very interesting performance.
ASUS announced the VivoMini VC66 series, a mini-PC designed to be versatile, both at home and in the office. Inside we are Intel’s seventh-generation architecture with Kaby Lake, specifically models Core i3-7100 and Core i5-7400, flanked by DDR4 RAM and a ” triple storage system ” which allows the use of an SSD platform M.2 along with two units separated by 2.5 inches. The optical drive is available optionally.
ASUS VivoMini VC66 monitor supports 4K Ultra HD and has a total of six USB ports, including three standard USB 3.0 technology and a reversible USB connector type Type-C.
There are three additional connectors, HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI-D for connecting one or more external monitors. VivoMini VC66 is targeted not only at consumers but also to the professional for its integration in offices or for digital signage, POS systems (Point-of-Sale).
We find a serial port for the connection of legacy devices such as scanners barcode, printers, routers, modems and other devices used by various companies. There is also an Intel Gigabit Ethernet connector, a card reader 4-in-1 audio output and a slot for a Kensington lock.
The module supports Bluetooth 4.1 and wireless networks on 802.11ac, and all family models come with 100GB of space on ASUS WebStorage for a year.
No more need to spend several hundred dollars for a compact PC that you can place and hide easily in the environment, all without to compromise on the performance plan. The seventh-generation, Intel processors and the possible SSD installed on M.2 slot, can provide very high levels of performance in the functions of everyday life and are also a good match with regard to various positions of productivity.
