Toshiba Portege X30 and Tecra X40 here is the new portable premium.
Designed for users of the new type business Portege X30 and Tecra X40 by Toshiba combine the power of the 7th generation Intel Core processors to a reduced volume shell.
Toshiba announced the new Portege X30 and Tecra X40, stylish notebook that cater for business users with features cut for the professional world. The two new models feature a slim, lightweight design and extend the family of ultra-thin notebook business of the company following the release of the hybrid system 2-in-1.
Toshiba Tecra X40 will have a 14-inch display and a thickness of less than 2 centimeters, amounting to only 16.9 mm. The visual characteristics and the materials used to allow to stop the scales at only 1.25 kilograms. Alongside the new model of the Tecra family are Portege X30, with 13.3-inch display and a smaller more lightweight: only 1.05 kilograms compared with a total thickness of 15.9 mm for the system.
Compared to their predecessors, the new models are 11% thinner and 13% lighter, according to company statements. Both use a ToughBody chassis made of magnesium alloy that should be able to absorb shocks due to a reinforcing honeycomb. Toshiba Tecra X40 and Portege X30 support Full HD native resolution as a choice for the display, also offered with technology In-Cell Touch with anti-glare surface for use in outdoor environments.
The new laptops use different technologies for data security, including the touchpad sensor SecurePad with Synaptics Natural ID fingerprint and facial authentication through Intel Authenticate technology and Windows Hello.
All functions supported by BIOS Toshiba owner, so as to avoid any interference from third-party software that can make the device more vulnerable to attacks and unauthorized access.
Let’s hardware, the two systems will use Intel Core processors and 7th generation PCIe SSD drives for high-performance storage system, combined with DDR4. The sound system is taken care of by two stereo speakers produced by harman/kardon and improved software through DTS Sound.
Computers can be connected to the Thunderbolt 3 Dock that integrates two USB Type-C, a full-size USB 3.0, an HDMI port and a microSD card reader.
Toshiba Portege X30 and Toshiba Tecra X40 will be available in the second quarter of 2017 in the colors Onyx Blue and Gold Light finishes with thin lines, at a price not yet confirmed by the company.
