Cooler Master Cosmos C700P: Uncompromising homes for real fans
Cooler Master Cosmos C700P is the new company of the Taiwanese company, which aims to become one of the landmarks in the high end of the category.
The Cosmos family has for many years been one of the indissoluble reference points in the high-end of PC homes, and the new Cooler Master Cosmos C700P wants to be the umpteenth confirmation in this regard.
This is a large PC case designed – according to the manufacturer – for those who want to ” assemble a dream machine ” with a product that combines aesthetics, functionality and technology. Cosmos C700P is based on the MasterConcept, using some elements.
One of the cornerstones of the new case is flexibility, with the assembler being put in the foreground in the design stages. It starts from the motherboard tray, which is removable and rotating 90°: doing so you can position the video card vertically to optimize the flow of air inside the frame, allowing the warm air to move naturally towards the ‘high finding less interference to exit the case and allow a good flow of cold air.
The tray can even be placed on the opposite side to create a reverse layout. Removing it frees up space to install the hardware on a flat surface before placing it inside the case. There is obviously no lack of distinctive features of the Cosmos family, such as the aluminum handles now redesigned with a more modern look. The goal is always the same: to allow a comfortable transport despite the pachydermic dimensions of the case.
On the side, we find a tempered glass panel worked to present two curved edges, able to offer a wide vision of the internal components of the system while obtaining a great resistance compared to traditional plexiglass. On the upper part, there are also some RGB LED bands, and an integrated internal backlight that can be controlled through the switch on the I / O panel, which also contains a Type C USB 3.1 port.
Reading the list of technical specifications, we find very interesting data: the dimensions of 639 x 306 x 651 mm and the weight (without components) of 26.2 kilograms make it clear that Cosmos C700P is not a chassis for everyone. Supports the most popular motherboards on the market (Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, E-ATX), 8 expansion slots, a 5.25″ bay that, if removed, can expand the integrable bay for disks 8 to 9. The USB 3.0 Type ports are four.
Finally, in the I / O panel, we find a key to control the fan speed. Pre-installed we find three, all 140 mm, two of which on the front and one on the back.
The case supports a total of 9 and can integrate different radiators for a 360 mm or a 420 mm liquid cooling kit. CPU tower heat sinks are also supported provided, they do not exceed 198 mm in height.
Cooler Master Cosmos C700P will be available to the public from the end of October at a suggested retail price, certainly not popular, of $349.
