Getac renews F110, the fully rugged tablet now with Windows Hello
Important updates for F110, the Getac rugged tablet that combines robustness in all conditions of use with a series of specific technologies for data and access security.
Among the mobile devices on the market, there is a particular category of products indicated as rugged: they are notebooks, tablets or smartphones built in such a way as to be able to withstand falls and operation in environments that are critical to the general conditions (temperature and dust) . Some companies have specialized in proposals of this type and among these, we cannot fail to mention the Taiwanese, which with Getac F110 announced its fourth-generation fully rugged tablet.
It is a model characterized by a very high resistance to accidental falls, certified MIL-STD810G and IP65 to withstand falls up to 1.20 m and rain, humidity, vibration, shock and extreme temperatures, from -21°C to 60°C (operating temperatures) and from -15°C to 71°C (storage temperatures). Getac F110 comes complete with a standard 3-year warranty with no Bumper-to-Bumper limits, which includes accidental damage and exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
The internal architecture sees the presence of Intel Core i5 or Core i7, all based on Kaby Lake architecture. The touch screen has a diagonal of 11.6 inches with LumiBond 2.0 technology, able to ensure high readability of information even in bright sunlight. There is no lack of rain mode, gloves and pen (rigid-point stylus) that adapt the touch screen response to the specific conditions of use so as to better meet the needs depending on the environment in which you are.
Among the innovations implemented by Getac F110, we report the front IR camera, available as an optional accessory, which allows to enable authentication systems based on Windows Hello technology. The combination with TPM 2.0 and SSD Opal 2.0 technologies, with hardware encryption, allows customers to offer a mobile solution with a high level of overall security.
