Getac updates S410, The semi-rugged notebook for the professional
Getac announces a new version of its S410 notebook implementing eighth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, focusing on security by maintaining semi-rugged certifications and designs.
Getac, a Taiwanese company specialized in the production of rugged PC and tablet systems for the most demanding uses, has announced the second generation of its S410 model: it is a semi-rugged notebook with MIL-STD certification based on Microsoft operating system Windows.
Among the novelties of this second generation, we note the adoption of the new Intel Core i5 and Core i5 of eighth generation. The 14-inch diagonal screen has touch functionality up to 10 points, also compatible with the use of gloves: in the option with Full-HD resolution boasts a brightness of 800 nits, value that rises up to 1,000 nits when you go to opt for a panel with HD resolution.
One of the technical features of this product is the optional IR camera, thanks to which it is possible to enable facial recognition using Windows Hello technology. This technology, combined with TPM 2.0 and SSD Opal 2.0 supplied as standard, increases security in the use of the device and prevents access to unauthorized data.
The robustness of this notebook is confirmed in the MIL-STD810G and IP65 certifications: it is certified to withstand falls up to 1 m in height, leakage of liquids, humidity, vibrations, shocks and extreme temperatures, from -21°C to 60°C (operating temperatures) and from -51°C to 71°C (storage temperatures). The I/O connectors are all protected, while the island keypad is equipped with a splash protection system.
