Netgear, two Nighthawk Pro Gaming products to reduce latencies

Netgear presented to two products aimed at the players: the Nighthawk Pro Gaming WiFi router (XR500) and the Lan Nighthawk Pro Gaming SX10 10G / Multi-Gig (GS810EMX) switch.

Netgear Nighthawk Pro Gaming (XR500) uses state-of-the-art software to optimize network connections by stabilizing ping, reducing voltage peaks, and maintaining a stable connection on both cable and wireless. This router has four LAN GbE ports for wired connections and uses MIMO Multi-User technology (MU-MIMO) for simultaneous Quad-Stream streaming.

It offers features specifically targeted to gamers like the Gaming Dashboard, which displays in real time on a single screen the use of broadband per device, ping delays and other parameters.

Go Filter is a system designed to contain the negative effects due to distances from the server and other players. It does this via a guaranteed local connection and creates black / white lists of your favorite servers. In addition to the Quality of Service (QoS) and VPN Gaming functions, the Network Monitor is added, which monitors the devices that monopolize the band and identifies the applications that could cause the delay.

The new Nightwawk Pro Gaming router is based on the Quadro Wave 2 dual core 1.7GHz processor, designed to support a multitude of devices simultaneously. The simultaneous dual band Wi-Fi also doubles the available bandwidth, with four external antennas that, in addition to guaranteeing an attractive design, improve WiFi coverage. As for memory, the Netgear router has 256 MB flash and 512 MB ram. And it supports Beamforming+.

NETGEAR XR500Going to the Nighthawk Pro Gaming SX10 LAN switch, we have to say that it is an 8-port solution designed to guarantee almost zero latency. It also offers a new dashboard and precise self-diagnosis for the particularly demanding requirements of the gaming world.

Two 10Gigabit / Multi-Gig 5-speed Uplinks increase speed and expand network bandwidth with ports that automatically adapt for 100Mbps, 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps or 10Gbps. In addition, each light on the switch can be customized, change the color for better visibility and adjust brightness and frequency easily.

The Port-Trunking / Link Aggregation (LAG) feature on this switch enables aggregation of Gigabit or Multi-Gigabit ports for even higher speeds. Moreover, thanks to the aluminum design that disperses the heat, there is no need for the fan, and it can work in a silent way.

Netgear has not only looked at gaming at CES. In fact, it has announced the new Netgear Armor security service. Developed jointly with the company with extensive experience in the Bitdefender industry, it offers advanced threat protection for home, mobile, IoT and Smart Home devices.

In addition, the Arlo Baby HD smart camcorder (ABC1000) becomes compatible with Apple HomeKit, the application for iOS devices that allows you to manage all the smart accessories in your home directly from the iPhone and iPad.

Arlo BabyNetgear Insight is instead of a solution designed to give the user the tools to constantly monitor the network. It has been designed for easy remote management of Wireless Smart Cloud Access Points, Smart Cloud switches and ReadyNAS Network Storage devices. In addition, with the update available from mid-February, it will also be able to support the Orbi Pro Tri-band WiFi system for small businesses.
