Starting today, within the applications for iOS and Android but also on the desktop, it will be possible to choose different public paths without any architectural barrier and also passable by those who are aboard a wheelchair. In this case, Google has decided to add a specific filter that starting from today can be applied to public transport lines allowing to obtain a result that is suitable to accommodate the disabled.
The advantage of this new functionality will not be relegated only to the disabled but also to mothers who may be looking for an optimal path to bring their baby with the stroller around. In this case, they will be able to activate the new functionality of Google Maps and get the easiest and most optimal route. In this case, for the operation just open the application of Google Maps and type a specific destination then tap on ” Directions ” then ” Public Transport ” and in the ” Options ” check if there is in the option routes the words ” Accessible with chairs on wheels. ”
At the moment, the new feature has been released for versions of Google Maps in the cities of London, New York, Tokyo, Mexico City, Boston and Sydney.
