Acer Swift 5: High performance in less than 1 kg, 15.6-inch full HD display
Acer, at the Global Press Conference in New York, announces several new devices, including Swift 15, a truly interesting handset designed for portability without sacrificing performance.
The conference held recently in New York, organized by Acer, has allowed the Taiwanese company to present to the public a wide range of new products expected very soon on the market. These include the new Acer Swift 5 notebook, designed for high productivity on the move with very high performance.
” We had excellent feedback on the extraordinarily light 14-inch Swift 5 from Acer, and now we want to go overboard with a 15.6-inch model, ” said Jerry Hou, General Manager, Consumer Products, Inc. ” The weight under the kilo threshold using ultra-thin frames and a slightly larger frame.”
As is clear from the words reported, Swift 15 is a Swift 14 updated and equipped with a new 15.6-inch touch screen Full HD 1920×1080 pixels, but keeping the weight below the kilogram despite its larger size. The Swift 5 IPS Full HD touchscreen also boasts 5.7 mm ultra-thin edges, with 87.6% screen-to-body ratio, to maximize the viewing experience.
Swift 5 is also equipped with Acer Color Intelligence technology, designed to dynamically adjust the range and saturation of images in real time, optimizing the color and brightness of the screen avoiding clipping phenomena or colors too heavy. Do not miss the now widespread technology that allows you to adjust the emission of blue light (in the case of Acer is called Acer BluelightShield).
The excellent result in terms of weight was obtained using ultralight magnesium-lithium alloys for the upper and lower parts of the body, as well as magnesium-aluminum alloys which give greater strength in the palm rest area. The keyboard is LED-backlit, while to mention are certainly the integrated ports: a type USB 3.1 Type-C. 2 USB 3.1, HDMI and SD player. The declared autonomy is that of a whole working day, implying 8 hours.
Under the body, we find Intel high-performance processors no longer defined (everything will depend on the markets and models), RAM up to 16GB of DDR4 and SSD up to well 1TB. As a PC practice of a certain level, Acer Swift 5 also supports Windows Hello via a fingerprint reader, allowing users to access their accounts faster and more securely.
For prices, it will be necessary to wait, both for the aforementioned difference that may exist between one country and another, and for the different equipment adopted on the individual models.
