TeamViewer Pilot: The augmented reality app for remote support has been updated
Teamviewer has published important updates for three of its products: TeamViewer 14, TeamViewer Pilot and TeamViewer Tensor Controlled Access.
We talked about the augmented reality app TeamViewer Pilot at the Mobile World Congress, when it was officially presented. A few weeks after the launch, the update to version 1.1 was presented, which makes the app for remote support based on AR even more intuitive to use.
The performance of the video streaming has been improved, especially when there is no bandwidth, and new tutorials have been added to guide users in using the app. The lion’s share is represented by the possibility of drawing freehand on the device’s screen, a detail that can simplify communication between experts and users.
Updates also for TeamViewer 14 and Tensor
The new features of TeamViewer version 14.2 will be appreciated more by IT managers than by users. It is now possible to execute scripts remotely on Linux machines and access control has been enhanced, allowing also browser verification.
The SaaS TeamViewer Tensor platform is updated to allow network administrators to centralize control of using TeamViewer. IT administrators can now define and modify rules to allow or deny access to TeamViewer Tensor from anywhere and at any time, whether on-site or from remote locations.
” With the new Pilot update, which is TeamViewer’s innovative solution for augmented reality, users are able to interact in the real world like never before ” – commented Dr. Mike Eissele, CTO of TeamViewer – ” Tensor’s access control function is in great demand as it helps IT administrators in large companies to apply, distribute and enforce access policies, having full control over the use of TeamViewer in the corporate network. It commits to meeting the needs of private users and companies of any size, simplifying the life of IT managers by providing a wide range of solutions that allow savings in terms of activity, time and money “.
