Cloudflare has launched a VPN for its DNS Resolver 1.1.1.1. Announced in the first half of 2018, Cloudflare’s DNS Resolver arrived on mobile in November with the aim of also speeding up mobile traffic. Such as? What Warp will not offer is a different geolocation with respect to the position we are in, a feature often proposed by traditional VPN. Instead, the purpose of Warp will be to optimize speed and privacy by acting behind the scenes. According to Cloudflare, Warp will not save any data connected to the user on disk, and the traffic managed by the service will not be used for profiling for advertising purposes.
Warp, how much does it cost and how is it activated?
So what does the company gain by proposing a similar system? Warp will use a ” freemium ” monetization model. There will be two versions: Warp will be completely free, while Warp+ will use the proprietary Argo technology to offer greater network speed and stability.
At the time of writing, the company has not disclosed the price of the service, while Warp is available in a limited testing phase: the company has opened a waiting list where it is possible to register and wait for its turn, and the user will be notified as soon as he can finally try the free VPN.
