Amazon makes the encore and after launching the new Amazon Echo Show some time ago, it decides to announce a new member of the Echo family: Echo Show 5. Compact design for rich entertainment
Thanks to crystal clear audio, Echo Show 5 is perfect for watching music videos on Vevo or for listening to your favorite songs from Amazon Music, Spotify, Deezer and other music services. Just say, ” Alexa, play my playlist for dinner ” to listen to music during a dinner with friends and at the same time follow the lyrics on the screen with Amazon Music.
The new Echo Show 5 makes it possible to easily view, thanks to its display, its favorite programs and videos from Prime Video, or the news, sport and more. Soon, a new integration with wikiHow will allow you to access a ” How to ” video using the voice: just ask for instructions on how to open a coconut, clean a cast iron pan, cut a pineapple or make a paper airplane.
New ways to control the Smart Home
Amazon allows to have a new way to control the Smart Home thanks to a control panel, available on all Echo Shows, able to give more responsibility to the devices, and groups of devices, for compatible Smart Home. Just say ” Alexa, turn on the lights ” or use the controls on the screen to control them. You can also view feeds from security cameras and smart thermostats, access recently used devices and manage smart devices by group.
Do not forget how Echo Show 5 will also offer the functionality of two-way communication if connected to the Ring video intercoms. In this case, it will be enough to say, ” Alexa, answer the front door ” when the doorbell rings or the camera detects a movement to be able to see and talk to whoever is in front of the door.
Wake up and relax with Alexa
With the display, it will be a whole other world. Thanks to new ways to personalize your morning and evening routines with Alexa you will be able to better manage your alarm clocks or even your own relaxations.
To relax, you can set up a Night Routine that turns off the bedroom light and starts playing sounds to sleep from Amazon Music. When the alarm sounds in the morning, you can get up with Alexa Sunrise: the screen on the Echo Show devices will light up naturally and show a simulation of dawn before the alarm goes off.
You can also create a Routine that starts the coffee maker 10 minutes after the alarm goes off, or one that provides weather forecasts and morning news when you say the phrase ” Alexa, my day starts “.
Personalize your experience
Many new types of different dials for the clock are now available for the Amazon Echo Shows, and you can also add photographs of the last holidays to make the home screen unique. You can play a slideshow of your photos, view a specific album, or set the images to rotate in the background.
Furthermore, the new ambient lighting mode automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen according to that of the room: in this way, the screen is never too bright or too dark. In addition, Echo Show 5 is equipped with an integrated camera cover that allows you to easily cover the camera while still being able to talk to Alexa.
Amazon is also introducing a new and even easier way to eliminate voice recordings on all devices with Alexa integration: just ask.
