ASUS has announced the new ASUS Zenbook S13 (UX392), which combines beauty with power and high portability. Here are all the features of the ultrabook, and the selling price.
ASUS has just announced the availability of ASUS ZenBook S13 (UX392), a new laptop that aims to mix exclusive features both in terms of computing power and design. Thin and light for easy transport, the new device of the ZenBook family boasts a NanoEdge display with frames reduced by the diagonal of 13.9″ and a declared screen-body ratio of 97%.
On the hardware side, we find an eighth-generation Intel Core i7-8565U CPU supported by 16 GB of RAM on LPDDR3 technology, a 512GB SSD on PCIe x2 technology and an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 video card. ASUS declares an autonomy of up to 15 hours for the new ultra-book (with MobileMark 2014 setting the display to 150 cd/m²), thanks to the park hardware in consumption and the integrated 50Wh battery.
The dimensions are one of the most interesting features of the new handset: 316 x 195 x 12.9mm, with a weight that is very little more than the kilogram (1.1kg). According to the manufacturer, this is the thinnest laptop in the world among those with integrated GPU, a goal achieved thanks to the use of different production techniques and top class materials: for the body, we find a CNC-milled aluminum monoblock in order to reduce minimum empty spaces inside.
The use of advanced machinery during production has allowed ASUS to make thin walls for the frame, all providing the necessary protection in the points most subject to breakage. The handset is offered in the Utopia Blue color scheme, characterized by a silvery blue shade and a lighter overall color that highlights the concentric incisions typical of the ” Zen ” products of the Taiwanese manufacturer.
The new ZenBook has also obtained MIL-STD-810G certification, which assesses resistance in extreme environmental conditions, such as altitudes, humidity and high temperatures. The keyboard of the laptop is backlit and extends over almost the entire width of the laptop, with the individual keys having a slightly higher stroke than the predecessor. Do not miss a touchpad, in the lower part, with fingerprint sensor compatible with Windows Hello.
On the connectivity side we find: a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port (so full-size), two USB Type-C ports, a microSD slot and a 3.5mm audio combo jack, for connecting headphones and earphones together. There are two integrated speakers, with support for stereo audio and Harman Kardon certification, while returning to the display, ASUS guarantees complete coverage of the sRGB gamut and a maximum luminance of 400 nits.
Price and availability: ASUS ZenBook S13 (UX392) can already be purchased in Utopia Blue coloring, both at the company’s online store and in the physical store. The recommended retail price is $1,399.
