Redmi Note 8 will have the MediaTek Helio G90T on board

In view of the presentation of the next Redmi Note 8 and 8 Pro, the first confirmations arrive on the hardware sector; MediaTek has announced on Weibo that it will be their new gaming processor, G90T, to accompany the new smartphones from the Chinese company.

Redmi is ready at the end of the month to present the new smartphones of the Note line: Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro that will replace the younger siblings of the Note 7 line, champions of worldwide sales with over 20 million units.

We are ready for the new models of the Chinese house that will be presented in China; the rumors are few regarding the specifications, but on Weibo, MediaTek, revealed that it will be their new gaming processor to accompany the heart of the new models: the Helio G90T.

Just last month, MediaTek announced the new chipsets designed for gamers that expand the range offered by the Helio series: G90 and G90T. Both chipsets exploit a 12 nm production process and integrate HyperEngine Game technology made specifically by the Taiwanese company to improve gaming performance.

As previously mentioned, Redmi Note 8 will integrate the G90T chipset which will have a clock speed of 2.05 GHz and will be accompanied by an ARM Mali-G76MP4 GPU clocked at 800 MHz. The first benchmarks suggest that Helio G90T is slightly more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset, but these rumors will have to be checked following sales.

Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 8 will integrate a rear fingerprint sensor and the NFC chip. The Pro version will also be accompanied by a quadruple configuration of the rooms with the Samsung 64MP main sensor: ISOCELL Bright GW1. On the other hand, the basic version will adopt a classic 48 MP sensor, but there is no further information.

Redmi has also confirmed two more information on the new models: they will have 18 W fast charge and will adopt liquid cooling technology for better thermal management.
