Insta360 GO: The video camera that weighs less than 9.1 ounces
Insta360 GO is a small video camera that allows you to record clips (or images) from up to 30″ with extreme simplicity. Its strengths are image stabilization but above all weight and compactness.
Insta360 GO is the new camcorder that is added to the portfolio of the manufacturer that includes EVO, Titan, Air and Nano S. This solution stands out above all for its size and weight, which are very low and easily wearable without being uncomfortable.
To allow you to stick to the surfaces you can take advantage of the mechanical clip or the magnetic body of the new Insta360 GO and weighing only 9.1 ounces you can use it in many contexts. As for the dimensions, these are equal to 6.3 x 3.6 x 2 inches.
In order to be able to achieve this result, some renunciations have obviously been made. For example, the new Insta360 GO camera does not have a screen, and even the buttons are minimized. This is because this model allows you to press a single button to record a 30″ (maximum) video and stop recording.
Considering the use of this model, especially in the sports field (and not only) there is the FlowState stabilization which should improve the quality of the shot. Furthermore, editing via FlashCut is supported to speed up the most tedious operations by automatically selecting videos that seem to be better and then creating a single file.
Coming to the technical data of Insta360 GO, we find a single sensor capable of capturing photos up to 3,040 x 3,040 pixels or video up to 2,720 x 2,720 pixels at 25 fps. Exporting them via app the resolution is instead FHD at 25 fps except for the slow-mo that arrive at 1,600 x 900 at 30 fps (the original file is from 1,600 x 900 at 100 fps). There is also a time-lapse feature that allows you to record 30 minutes to reduce them to a 5-minute video. The maximum aperture is f/2.1 while the exposure and white balance are automatic.
Always Insta360 GO is IPX4 certified and is able to withstand water and dust. As for the dive, the manufacturer specifies that the camera will withstand up to 10 seconds (without additional houses).
The battery life is 60 minutes (adding video camera and battery charger case). This means being able to get to record 200 video clips a day from 18 seconds each. The charging time is instead 20 minutes for the Insta 360 GO while the Charge Case takes an hour.
Connectivity is provided via Bluetooth 4.0 or via microUSB on supported PC, Mac and smartphones (for iPhone and iPad there is instead Lightning). Video archiving is via the 8 GB internal memory.
