Google presents TensorFlow Quantum, an open-source library for quantum machine learning models
It is a new open-source library that will allow you to prototype quantum ML models, created with the collaboration of the University of Washington and Volkswagen.
Google has announced the availability of TensorFlow Quantum, an open-source library that will allow you to join forces in the field of machine learning and quantum computing for the rapid prototyping of quantum machine learning models. It is a framework that will allow the construction of quantum datasets, prototype classic and quantum hybrid machine learning models, support quantum circuit simulators, and train discriminative and generative quantum models.
Quantum systems are not yet within reach of the masses, but when they reach this level, they will need special algorithms. The purpose of TFQ is precisely to make it possible for developers to create hybrid AI algorithms that use classical processing techniques with the simulation of quantum circuits.
It reads on the official Google blog: ” TFQ offers the necessary tools to unite the communities of quantum processing and machine learning to control and model nautical or artificial quantum systems, such as NISQ processors – Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum from 50-100 qubit. ”
TensorFlow Quantum combines the forces of quantum processing and machine learning
TFQ works by taking quantum information – that is, contained in qubits – and processing it with hybrid AI systems: it is a technique called ” hybrid-classical AI modeling ” that allows you to perform a ” disentanglement ” of quantum information so that it can be used to generate predictions on quantum algorithms.
The launch of TensorFlow Quantum is being explored in collaboration with the University of Waterloo, the X division of Alphabet and Volkswagen, nourishing the hope that this will lead to the creation of new quantum algorithms capable of facilitating progress towards the solution of those problems that only quantum systems are capable of coping.
More information on TensorFlow Quantum is available on the official Google blog, and a whitepaper has also been made available. In the meantime, if you want to get closer to the world of quantum computing.
