Microsoft Office coming even on Android tablets – Preliminary version already available

In March, Microsoft announced Office for iPad, probably the most important software among those distributed by the Redmond giant. The initiative, which aims to expand its presence on devices of competing manufacturers, has had a great commercial success.

The famous tool on Android tablet will also come in the near future, as indeed it was reasonable to assume after the launch of Apple’s mobile devices. Microsoft has posted the first calls for users to participate in a program of pre-release, which includes the beta test of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on Android. The release of the first stable version completed and is expected by the end of the year.

Office for Android could introduce an interface similar to the one made for the tablet of Cupertino, extremely-based touchscreen. It is curious to note that the app for the Google platform will precede the release of Windows, in which a touch-friendly version will only arrive in early 2015.
