1200 watts for a modular power supply: the new top of the range of Corsair
So much power combined with modular type connections: these are the characteristics behind the new power supply from Corsair developed for systems of gamers with many video cards in parallel. In conjunction with the CES 2015 in Las Vegas, Corsair has announced several new products, including a power supply could not miss the match on the top of the range for more powerful systems with multi-GPU configurations.
Corsair HX1200i, the name of the new product, combines a high maximum output of 1,200 watts to a construction with modular cabling. This allows you to manage more efficiently the connection of various devices in our system, using only the necessary connectors and leave the others available.
Given the power available to this power supply is recommended for use in systems that are equipped with two or more video cards in parallel; for this reason, there are as many as 8 power connectors 6+2 pin, through which power up to 4 video cards each equipped with two 8-pin connectors.
The back panel features a USB connector with which to exploit the Corsair Link software, with which you can monitor voltages, temperatures and energy efficiency in real time. There is the possibility to manage the speed of rotation of the fan 140 mm integrated into the product, so as to adapt the noise level under the conditions of use and the energy demand of the moment.
