A new Ryzen CPU for the 50 years of AMD

AMD is preparing to celebrate the important milestone in its commercial history with an anniversary version of the Ryzen 7 2700X processor. All awaiting the debut of the new 7-nanometer Ryzen.

AMD is preparing to celebrate 50 years since its foundation, presenting a special version of its Ryzen processor on the market. This is the Ryzen 7 2700X 50th anniversary edition model, a name that identifies a CPU that AMD already offers within its product range.

Ryzen 7 2700X is currently the top proposal of the Ryzen range for desktop systems, waiting for the debut of the Ryzen 3000 models which should take place during the summer. It is a CPU with 8-core architecture, capable of processing up to 16 threads; the base clock frequency is equal to 3.7 GHz, with the possibility of going up to 4.3 GHz as the maximum clock.

We do not know the technical specifications of this anniversary edition processor, which is currently mentioned in the list of an online retailer. It is conceivable that the plate data can remain unchanged compared to those of the standard model on the market, with an external package celebrating the goal achieved by AMD. It would be a CPU destined to a few, willing to pay a little more to have a single model available.

In the recent past, Intel has made processor versions available for particular anniversaries: just remember the Core i7-8086K for the 40th anniversary of the x86 instruction set, a 6-core architecture model that reached 5 GHz as the maximum Turbo clock value in the moment where a single core is used.

There is currently no mention of this processor on the AMD website, the company has prepared its own celebratory page for this anniversary, available at this address. The commercial debut of this CPU is scheduled for early May.
