Acer a desktop all-in-one and one modular Windows 10
At the IFA Acer presents two new desktop systems running Windows 10. Very interesting modular solution that allows you to customize and expand the system without having to open the chassis.
At the IFA Berlin, Acer announced two new Desktop PCs based on Windows 10: Aspire U5, all-in-one by 23.8 inches, and Revo Build, compact system with modular design and easily customizable. The two systems will be commercially available during the holiday season and year-end.
The series Aspire U5-710 is characterized by a chassis thickness contents to 37 mm, and with a metal support. The I / O ports (HDMI, power, Ethernet, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and TV tuner) are placed in the back and one side door hides the small buttons OSD and some other system I / O. The various accessory functionalities can be added to the basic system by simply stacking one upon the various ” blocks ” with specific features, which are magnetically aligned thanks to the use of Pogo pins, to simplify the operations of installation. Revo Build M1-601 occupies a space of 1 liter and has dimensions of 125 x 125 mm footprint.
At launch will be available blocks removable storage hot, with a capacity of 500 GB and 1 TB, a block Power Bank for the wireless charging of portable devices and an audio block with microphones and speakers. Later Acer will release other blocks by the various features.
The base unit will be equipped with Intel Pentium or Celeron processor and Intel HD graphics, while the system memory, expandable up to 8 GB DDR4, can be upgraded simply by loosening a screw.
