Acer presents the PM161Q portable monitor and new prosumer monitors
Acer PM161Q is a new 15.6″ portable and very light monitor. Acer promises professional quality, for a monitor suitable for professionals and students on the move.
The Acer PM161Q 15.6″ monitor weighs less than 2.2 lbs to be precise. The slim 0.8 inches design does not take up too much space on the desk and allows you to carry it even in notebook bags. You can use it as a secondary monitor for dual monitor presentations or in conjunction with a smartphone.
It is a Full High Definition IPS type panel with a single USB Type-C cable, designed to avoid tangles and with the ability to transfer both data and power.
Acer PM161Q also offers a viewing angle of 170° and boasts a number of technologies to minimize user eye fatigue such as Flickerless, BlueLightShield, ComfyView, and Low-dimming. Acer PM161Q is available in EMEA with prices starting from $180.
Acer also announced the CB342CKC and CB282K monitors, two new high-end 4K products aimed at prosumers who need color accuracy and visual sharpness. With the new solutions, Acer promises blur-free images and ergonomic design. We are talking about In-Plane Switching (IPS) panels with HDR 10 technology. The ZeroFrame design also makes the monitor bezels very thin.
With Radeon FreeSync, the frame display rate during games is determined by the graphics card, not the monitor’s fixed refresh rate. The Acer CB342CKC8 monitor also boasts a 1ms Visual Response Boost (VRB). As for the connectivity options, we have a USB 3.1 Type-C port.
These are monitors with a solid stainless steel base, which allows you to tilt, rotate and adjust the height. The quick-release design allows you to separate the monitor from the stand to mount it on the wall with the VESA mount.
Both Acer CB2 monitors also feature Acer Display Widget software whose Split-screen feature allows you to easily split the screen into different areas. Users can activate it with a shortcut key or via the setup menu. All monitors are equipped with Acer VisionCare, which includes Flickerless, BlueLightShield, ComfyView, and low darkening technologies.
