AOC, New G1 Series Monitors: Curved Panel
Available in 23.6, 27 and 31.5 “, the new AOC monitors have curvature from 1500r to 1800r, use VA panels and support Full HD resolution with 144Hz refresh rate. All at a pretty competitive price.
For some time now, the curved panels have arrived in the entry-level range of monitors designed for gamers and not, and also AOC wants to propose its updated line-up at list prices that we can consider particularly appealing.
The proposal of AOC with the new G1 Series consists of three models with cuts of 23.6″, 27″ and 31.5″, all with VA panels in Full HD resolution and refresh rate of 144 Hz. In the margin of these characteristics, we find a radius of curvature from 1500R to 1800R and different proprietary technologies for image management.
These include the AOC Game Color technology for real-time setting of color saturation and image detail, Low Input Lag and Dial Point, an overlay viewfinder that gives FPS players a more accurate aiming.
The monitors use AMD FreeSync technology support, and offer a 1 millisecond MPRT response time together with very high viewing angles, comparable to those of an IPS (178° / 178°). All with distinctive features for the new G Series, starting from a new design.
AOC defines it as ” completely renewed “, with a borderless style on three sides that makes the monitors ready to complete multi-monitor setups. Two monitors of the new series (C24G1 and C27G1) adopt an ergonomic stand with height adjustment of 130mm and rotation of -35° / 35°, while the curvature has a radius of 1500R for the 23.6″ model, while the 27 and 31.5″ models have a 1800R curvature. There are also presets already calibrated for specific categories of games, such as FPS, Racing and RTS, in order to have a tailor-made experience.
Regarding the connectivity, we find two HDMI, a DisplayPort and a VGA, and there is also a headphone output. The G1 Series also uses a series of measures to protect the user’s view after prolonged use of the monitor, such as the Low Blue mode that reduces the emission of blue lights, or the Flicker-Free technology that regulates the backlighting with DC instead of PWN for more comfortable use.
