Both products provide the end user with a solution based on the latest SATA III and USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface, in combination with UASP technology: the AD100, built with a steel body and the AD300 with alloy body instead of aluminum and better heat dissipation.
Apacer presents two new houses to transform your 2.5″ HDD and SSD units into external hard drives: we are talking about the AD100 and AD300 models, identical in terms of the interface but different in terms of aesthetics and technical features.
Both products make available to the end user a solution based on the latest SATA III and USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface, in combination with UASP technology: the AD100, the black one of the two, is built with a steel body and details in high-strength plastic, the AD300 instead, comes with premium materials, aluminum alloy body and a special ventilation system for better heat dissipation.
Both enclosures are built to be used without tools for quick installation, making your unused hard drives more easily into external storage solutions; suitable for 9.5 mm and 7 mm HDD / SSD, obviously with 2.5″ format, the SATA III and USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface, together with the UASP technology, significantly improve the data transmission performance compared to the previous ones models, ensuring data flows up to 400 MB/s, obviously when used with an SSD.
The AD100, with a thickness of only 13 mm is more suitable for better portability, while the AD300, which has a more high-tech style is more suitable for more heavy use given both the more robust structure and the precautions to promote heat dissipation; for the time being, Apacer has not made more information available regarding availability and price.
