Apple: Two iPhone 5G and a smartphone with a 5.4-inch display are coming
The new iPhone of 2019 has not yet been presented but the rumors already speak of that of 2020. In this case the most important news according to Kuo, Apple’s expert analyst, could concern the arrival of the 5G module but also the dimensions. Here are the news.
The 5G for the iPhone will arrive in 2020 and will also allow you to have new smartphones that are more compact but equally revolutionary. The statements come directly from Apple’s experienced analyst, Ming Chi Kuo.
In this case, we talk about the iPhone series coming in a year or smartphones that will probably introduce the modem supporting the new high-speed 5G network for Apple. Not only because according to information held by Kuo, Apple would be revisiting the design of the new iPhone 2020, making them more compact, even with full-screen displays.
iPhone 2020: 5G arrives for maximum speed
The new iPhone 2020 will change in size, as mentioned. The expert analyst of forecasts on the world of Apple has no doubts: next year, a device will arrive with a 5.4-inch display but also a second smartphone with a 6.1-inch display and finally a third and larger iPhone with a 6.7-inch display.
Interesting to discover that according to the rumors only two of these three will have the 5G modem to navigate at higher speeds while for the device with dimensions from 6.1 inches, we speak of a classic LTE 4G modem.
The rumors speak of modems provided by Qualcomm, which will be the main provider of modems for the 5G in Cupertino. In this case, it seems that the American manufacturer could also be supported by Samsung for the supply. At the technological level, we talk about 5G support except for networks below 6GHz. Instead, there will be mmWave frequencies, capable of delivering the highest performance of 5G.
According to rumors instead, Broadcom will provide RF amplifiers while Skyworks will allow Apple to obtain other unspecified components. Finally, the latest Kuo report confirms that Cupertino is continuing to work on its proprietary 5G modem, but this component will only arrive in 2022 or 2023. Meanwhile, the company will allow users to have an iPhone 5G as early as 2020 with external components.
