ASUS announces the new ROG Strix GL702VI, gaming notebook with GeForce GTX 1080
The gaming division of ASUS, Republic of Gamers, has announced the availability and price in Italy of the new laptop for hardcore gamers.
Those who want to play at their best, without compromise, already know that they will have to spend a decent amount of money. Not surprisingly, the price of the new ASUS ROG Strix GL702VI, devoted to pure gaming for those who want top performance and graphics quality.
The new laptop is proposed to $2499, a very high cost but commensurate with other solutions with equal technical characteristics and capabilities.
ASUS ROG Strix GL702VI is a gaming notebook of the Republic of Gamers division characterized by a 17.3-inch display at Full HD resolution with support for NVIDIA G-Sync technology (for the reduction of tearing, stuttering and latency, without V-Sync active ) and refresh rate of 120 Hz. The fast display is combined with top-level hardware, along with a backlit keyboard and smart-amplifier audio technology for the integrated speakers.
Hardware side, we find the seventh generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor with a maximum of 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and a dual storage system with SSD M.2 on 512 GB NVMe PCIe platform and a 1TB mechanical hard-disk. To roar under the shell of the new ASUS laptop, we find an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 to ensure high performance with the latest generation of games. The system temperatures are also kept at bay for long gaming sessions by a 12V fan and heat-pipe dissipation system.
Particular attention has been paid to the keyboard, whose ASUS Aura backlighting is customizable on four zones, while the button travel is only 1.8 mm with anti-ghosting technology that allows to identify up to 30 inputs simultaneously. The notebook also has an HD webcam, navigation for Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 and a full set of integrated doors along the frame. Here are a USB Type-C port, three USB 3.1 full-size, one HDMI 2.0, LAN RJ45, mini DisplayPort, combo audio jack, 2-in-1 card reader.
The dimensions are important, but being a computer that can easily replace a desktop was predictable: the thickness of the system is 37 mm, with a surface of 415 x 280 mm.
