BlackBerry Announces Acquisition of Encription Limited and creating Professional Cybersecurity Services, a new division dedicated to cybersecurity.
BlackBerry continues to pursue an evolution of the business process, as evidenced by the recent announcement of Professional Cybersecurity Services, a division of BB dedicated to cybersecurity activities. The achievement of this goal has been possible thanks to the acquisition of Encription Limited, a company that has gained considerable experience in the information security industry in the course of his nineteen years of activity, receiving, among other things, by the UK Government Certification the highest safety standards (CESG CHECK UT and ISO/IEC 27001). The financial transaction was door-to-end on 19 February, but the details have not been disclosed.
BlackBerry then creates a structure and acquires key assets to provide tools and consulting services to customers, capitalizing, at the same time, the existing security solutions. Concretely, the Professional Cybersecurity Services will operate in four main areas: strategic security, technical security, Security and Automotive and IoT, most recently, tracking, testing and analysis.
Johan Chen, Executive Chairman and CEO of BlackBerry said :
