Canon Selphy CP1200: Small portable printer with battery

It enlarges the family of mini portable printers Canon has always marked by the initials Selphy. The new model CP1200, offers a longer battery optional external, as well as different templates to organize the shots in the single print.

At the CES in Las Vegas Canon presents a new model of mini-portable printer Selphy, marked by the initials CP1200. Compared to the models already seen salt printing autonomy when it uses the internal battery, as well as offering wireless connectivity and some new printing formats (always small, though).

Canon Selphy CP1200 is included in a successful series of sublimation printer’s Canon small, able to print photos on the maximum size of 15×10 cm. The new model allows you to organize photos on several single releases, including a template as greeting cards or presentation in general. Change from the past is the ability to print up to 54 photos with the external battery (optional unfortunately), instead of the 36 possible with devices of the previous generation.

Canon Selphy CP1200 is equipped with Wi-Fi to print directly from a PC or smartphone without wires; not only with the technology AirPrint Apple mobile device’s users can print directly without the need for specific drivers. There is the ability to print directly by inserting the SD card, as well as a simplified setup than previous models.

Let us briefly recall that these printers can be very useful in specific circumstances, or when it is useful or just pleasant to print a limited number of shots. For large quantities of photos to be printed are much cheaper than the ” traditional ” methods (go to the photographer of trust or rely on some online service).

The Canon Selphy CP1200 selling price is fixed at $109.99, with availability from February. There is no indication on the price of the external battery.
