Comes the first official iPhone battery cover

Apple has officially announced the first battery cover official is called Smart Battery Case and implements an additional battery 1,877 mAh.

In the long battle, the thinnest smartphone to be sacrificed is above the battery. On the iPhone, this is an obvious problem, with which Apple has repeatedly stated that users prefer the design first. Apple released the first official iPhone cover with battery. The Smart Battery Case is compatible with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, it is available in anthracite and white and adds an unsightly hump to the linear design of the smartphone.

The company did not mention the technical specifications of the built-in battery, declaring only the benefits that will be obtained by the use of cover: up to 25 hours of talk time and up to 18 hours of web browsing on LTE network.

Unlike other similar accessories, the battery is supported in a capillary of iOS and is compatible with accessories and with the iPhone dock (not with every headphones though). You can see at any time the level of charge of both batteries, the integrated smartphone and that of the cover, both from Notification Center that the lock screen of the operating system. The cover also incorporates an antenna system, so as to ensure the performance of the wireless network device.

The Smart Battery Case, comes carrying two obvious problems that web users have commented loudly in recent days. The first: presenting only for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, and not for the variants iPhone 6S Plus, Apple admits implicitly that the battery life is an issue alive and well on smaller devices. The second problem, is related to the design: many users, and we queued with them, argue that the new cover is simply ugly.

A choice that keeps the thickness reduced to extremes, but that falls heavily on the aesthetic.

In terms of materials nothing to object to the Smart Battery Case it is made of elastomer smooth and soft to the touch with the inside covered with microfibre not chip the device during the insertion operations.

The cost should not be underestimated: Apple requires $99 for its battery cover, with the competition at the same price offers little more regarding the amperage of the integrated battery.
