Devialet Phantom Reactor: Sci-Fi design and Streaming
Devialet announces the new Phantom Reactor, a smaller version of its well-known Phantom speakers. With smaller dimensions and power, it associates compatibility with the main streaming services.
Devialet, a French company specialized in the production of high-end speakers, has announced the launch of two new products in the Phantom line. The new Devialet Phantom Reactor offer the same design and high power of previous models of the Phantom line combining a lower price, connectivity and support to the most popular streaming services.
The Devialet Phantom Reactor are a quarter of the previous models, now called Phantom Premier, while maintaining a high-power output – one of the main features of the Devialet Phantom is just the high power accompanied by a low distortion.
There are two different possibilities: 600 W or 900 W. The sound pressure level is 95 dB for the first and 98 dB for the second. The rest of the specifications are identical between the two versions: in addition to the frequency response (18 – 21,000 Hz), support for services such as Spotify Connect and AirPlay are included, plus the ability to connect via Bluetooth and to connect multiple Phantom Reactors. among them.
Not only Bluetooth and WiFi, but also an Ethernet port, allow connection to the Internet and other devices. There are also analog and optical inputs, for maximum compatibility with the various sources.
Although offered at a lower price than the Phantom Premier, the Phantom Reactor continues to be an expensive choice: the 600 W model costs $990, while the 900 W model comes to $1,290. For comparison, the basic model of the Phantom line is priced at $1,990 and offers 3000 W of power.
