Dodocool – International plug adapter with USB power adapter

Dodocool Universal travel charger for electronic devices and accessories of all kinds: charging and fueling iPhone, iPad, iPod, MacBook, hair dryer, electric shaver, and much more. One of the problems we face when we travel outside our country, is that the socket: socket other than the European Union, are such as those used in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia.

Being on vacation, business or any other reason in one of these countries means to at least buy an adapter to connect the power of our devices such as iPhone and iPad, as well as MacBook, hair dryer, shaver and trimmer any other device we decide to take with us, and that needs to be recharged or plugged into an electrical outlet.

Although buy an adapter can be a good solution, it is not the best we can find in the market, given that nonetheless does not eliminate the clutter of various power devices from recharging. To resolve the problem is with Dodocool Worldwide Universal Travel Charger from the power trip that works around the world, as well as allowing you to connect the plug of the various devices, is equipped with two USB ports for charging iPhone and iPad at the same time also.

Conserved in a semi-soft case in faux leather with zipper (about 9 x 7 x 6 cm), arrives home protected by a clear plastic bag along with a brief instruction manual; pleasant to the touch, the case features within an elastic band that holds it firmly inside the power supply (not that we needed it, since it’s made to measure).

The power supply is presented instead as a sort of high cylinder exactly 7.5 cm with a diameter of 5.3 cm: is characterized essentially by two parts that are detached if necessary, one of which allows to connect any plug, the other contains the two USB inputs used for charging the devices.

Along the perimeter of the larger part, the one that allows the connection of hair dryers and other accessories provided with the plug, there are four sliders that hold the secret behind the power supply in question: each of these allow you to check on the lower surface of the plug that interests us, depending on the country in which we find ourselves.

At the end of the race a mechanical click will confirm that the plug has been properly extracted and will not come back, in order to prevent it from moving when the insert in the socket when we want to change the plug, just press the button used to unlock the system block.

An LED ring around the perimeter of the second part of the accessory, the one that houses the USB inputs, will glow white when they insert the adapter into the power outlet, by reporting the correct insertion of the same in order to connect USB devices concerned and start charging.

The light will remain fixed even when we connect our accessories, while flash in case of overload should be: in that case, you just disconnect one of the two connected accessories to start charging properly.

The USB ports are capable of delivering a total of 3A, thereby allowing us to simultaneously charge iPhone (1A) and iPad (2A): This feature is confirmed by our tests by using a USB digital ammeter that has demonstrated how an iPhone bought 5 September 2013 to 23% and an iPad 2 running for 29 months at 17% (so that both require maximum amperage), respectively, are recharged to about 0.95 A and about 1.68 A, the same amperage provided by the original power supplies connected to the same power outlet.

A further interesting to make this power supply is the presence of a fuse inside, which saves any device connected to a short circuit: as we know, especially in other countries, it is likely that if they experience one, and it is very important to avoid a break any connected device in use or charging.

The fuse is easy to change: just rotate a few tens of degrees counterclockwise from the proper cover and change it if necessary (just a coin or even the lightning of the cable connector of the iPhone, we tried with the latter, and not we encountered problems as it is not necessary to exert excessive pressure that may cause undesired operation in the future).
