Presented just in these hours is the latest novelty among photo printers: we are talking about the new Epson SureLab SL-D800. The manufacturer defines it as a compact photo printer that looks towards professionals.
The strengths, besides the quality is also the speed and the reduced environmental impact that the new Epson SureLab SL-D800 should be able to guarantee. In particular, the manufacturer aims to integrate the new printer into minilabs and self-service terminals but also for copy shops and stores.
Epson SureLab SL-D800 is versatile because it can use different types of paper: glossy, coated, matte both in sheets and in roll. The specifications show dimensions for printable photos from 89 to 210 mm in width and from 50 to 1000 mm in length.
As written at the beginning, the high productivity of this solution is suitable for professional services but not strictly connected to the world of photography. For example: you can get 360 photos in 10×15 cm format in an hour.
Being a product that focuses on the professional sector, even downtime is reduced to a minimum. Epson SureLab SL-D800 should ensure minimal maintenance. To reduce energy consumption and increase reliability, there is an improved standby management of the part dedicated to heating and the fan.
There is also a rigid tray as well as improved technical features. For example: the roll can be replaced in two phases also in this case, allowing to increase productivity. Epson SureLab SL-D800 will be available from June 2019.
