Facebook makes it easy to transfer images to Google Photos
Thanks to the Data Transfer Project, in the coming months it will be possible to transfer images from Facebook to Google Photos more simply. A simple application will be enough to be able to save the photos in the Google cloud.
In a new blog post dedicated to Facebook‘s technological innovations, the Menlo Park company announced that it has simplified the process of migrating photos from the social network to Google Photos. This is a novelty within the Data Transfer Project.
The Data Transfer Project is a project involving companies such as Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Twitter, which aims to facilitate the transfer of files between the various platforms. For the benefit of users.
We are still at the beginning because the software (open source) that allows you to do what promised between Facebook and Google Photos is currently available for some Irish users. For all other users, on the other hand, it will only be made available in 2020, even if the route seems to have been traced. In this way, it will be possible to export the photographs on the social network in order to save them (and make a backup) also within Google’s cloud archives.
Also in the future there will be the possibility to export the photos simply to Facebook to iCloud (Apple) and OneDrive (Microsoft). Also in this case there will be the advantage of being able to make a backup of the saved photos and being able to browse them not only through the interface (app or web) of the Zuckerberg social network but also with systems that are somewhat more comfortable.
Another novelty is that in the future there will be the possibility to export not only photographs but also contacts, playlists and all kinds of files and contents supported by the various suppliers.
