New MSI Bravo Laptops: GPU and CPU are now from AMD
With the Bravo 15 and Bravo 17 models, MSI offers a configuration with only AMD chips: Ryzen CPU of the 4000 family and Radeon RX 5500M discrete video card with Navi architecture.
MSI has announced two new notebooks that integrate the AMD Ryzen processors of the 4000 family inside. We talk about the latest generation of AMD proposals, built with 7-nanometer production technology and based on the Zen 2 architecture.
The two new models are indicated by the name of Bravo 15 and Bravo 17, intended for the video game public as a good part of the range of MSI notebooks on the market. The first model is based on a 15-inch diagonal screen with Full HD resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz, with support for FreeSync technology. For Bravo 17, the screen changes to 17.3 inches diagonal, maintaining Full HD resolution, a maximum refresh of 120 Hz, and FreeSync support.
For the MSI Bravo 15 laptop offers the Ryzen 5 4600H and Ryzen 7 4800H processors as options, in combination with 8GB or 16GB of DDR4-3200 system memory. For the Bravo 17 model, the configuration includes a Ryzen 7 4800H processor with 16GB of system memory. Storage is with a 512GB SSD for both models; the Bravo 17 version also offers a traditional 1TB capacity hard drive.
Next to the AMD Ryzen 4000 CPU, we find in these notebooks a dedicated video card also from AMD: it is the Radeon RX 5500M model, based on Navi architecture. The price lists of these notebooks for the North American market start right now from just over $ 900, excluding taxes, for the Bravo 15 model.
