Game Builder, a video game from Google to develop other video games
The Area 150 of Google has produced a game that allows you to make other video games, both for those with skills in the development world, and for those who have none at all.
Google has created a video game. It’s called Game Builder and allows you to create toys with cartoon-style graphics, totally interactive. The video game allows you to choose characters and scenarios to insert in an empty environment in which it is possible to create your own world, and then use preset commands to manage the way in which the elements present can be used.
Game Builder is a free title available on Windows and macOS, and was created by the incubator of Google, Area 150, which in the past has created projects that were eventually incorporated into Google products. The small game is not an absolute novelty: in reality, it has been available on Steam since last November 1st, Big G has only started promoting it in these days, after receiving excellent reviews on the Valve portal.
The goal is to offer a development environment accessible to all to feed their creativity and create very simple games, all without any required expertise. There is also a co-op mode that allows a team of friends or users to develop a game together, and each creation can be shared with other players. Besides the simplified tools, there are also basic tools for those who know how to program.
To create a game with Game Builder you don’t need to know how to develop, you can customize your title using JavaScript and seeing the changes in real time. The platform can also use any polygonal model present on Poly, so it is not necessary to have skills in three-dimensional modeling. Game Builder runs on any modern PC with DirectX 10 support with Shader Model 4.0.
The download can be made via Steam.
