Asus has added a new mechanical keyboard for players Republic of Gamers family. Named after the Egyptian god Horus the sky thanks to the aluminum wings of which is equipped.
Asus ROG Horus GK2000 is a keyboard with a MCU (micro-programmed control unit) 32-bit and 4 MB of onboard memory, designed for the most demanding players who like to customize the macro set to activate several functions with a single button. It is robust and minimalist in some ways, even if it has an aggressive design in parts with aluminum finishes. And for these reasons remembers the Cherry MX Board 6.0.

The Horus GK2000 uses Cherry MX Red mechanical switches, considered the best for gaming. Each key has an excursion of 4 mm and a point of implementation to 2 millimeters: setting designed to make the reagents and buttons to ensure adequate tactile feedback.
Asus promises durability over time with guaranteed keys for 50 million pressures. Each of them is backlit with a red LED and is equipped with ergonomic keycap.
The new ROG keyboard offers anti-ghosting technology with N-Key rollover (NKRO) that ensures that each pressure is adequately recognized and reproduced by the system, regardless of the number of key presses. The NKRO function can be enabled or disabled. Beyond the ” wings “, the keyboard surface is anodized aluminum with its brushed finish to give an aggressive appearance.

Horus GK2000 also has a hub with two USB 2.0 inputs and two pass-through audio inputs (one for the microphone), while the cable is 1.8 meters and the overall weight of 1,700 grams. Asus does not yet communicated the price of the device, which easily will be around $200.
