iTunes is one of the most popular programs for playing music. Widespread on both PC and Mac, owes its success to its ability to integrate especially your music collection with hundreds of songs online, immediately available for download within the program itself.
Playlists are music collections chosen by us. Instead of containing our entire music collection, are a selection of songs.
We can create themed playlists, music genre, or our favorite songs, ready to be heard at all times. In this tutorial we will learn how to create our own playlist in iTunes, so I have a personal selection of favorite songs available whenever we want. Let’s see how.
1.) First open iTunes. If this is the first time you open the program, we should add to our music. To do this, simply locate the audio file on our file system, select them and drag them to the iTunes window. When we have our music, we can create our own playlist. We press the key combination ” Ctrl + N ” and we will see a new icon with the word ” untitled playlist ” on the left menu. Alternatively, you can open the ” File ” menu at the top and click ” New Playlist “. Once created, give it the name you want.
2.) At this point, you just have to populate our playlists with the music you prefer. This is a simple process: it is sufficient to see the full list of our songs, select the ones that interest us and drag them to the new playlist. Today! Once populated, we can choose the order of songs. We display the content of our playlist: find all the songs in the order in which we have added to the playlist. At this point, just put them in the order you prefer dragging songs up or down.
3.) Fine. Now that we have our choice of tracks, we can hear it right away, even turning some playback options. For example, we activate the ” Shuffle ” by clicking on the arrows that intersect at the bottom left of the iTunes window, or by opening the panel ” Controls ” in the top of the screen and choosing ” Random – Random Enable “.
The random play, as the name implies, do not follow the order of the playlist, but the change randomly. You simply turn it off to restore the original order. Happy listening!.
