HP renews catalog Envy laptops with three new models with screens 15.6″ and 17.3″, Intel’s sixth-generation CPU and Full HD or 4K display. They are lighter and thinner than previous models.
HP Spectre, recently presented, is undoubtedly the most representative model of the portable catalog of the US company, but not the only news from HP announced today that it has renewed the same line of portable Envy.
These are products that occupy the upper part of the portfolio, even without being in the exclusive Spectre ultrabook line, more rated for use in mobility. The renewal of the Envy line comprises three models: HP ENVY x360 with a 15.6″ screen and HP ENVY with display 15.6″ and 17.3″.
HP ENVY x360 15.6″
Distinctive features of the reduced thickness of 21% compared to the previous model and the autonomy that, on the contrary, has increased. The new ENVY x360 has a weight of 2.04 Kg. And a thickness of 18.8 mm. Another new feature is the possibility to choose the configuration equipped with a 4K display.
Autonomy declared was increased from 8 hours to 11 hours of release in 2015. About the performance also goes to the renewal of the hardware platform characterized by the introduction of the Intel Core i5 or i7 processors of the sixth generation of the Intel Matching Iris GPU. Alternatively, HP plans configurations based on quad-core AMD FX processors and 9800P seventh-generation GPU Radeon R7.
Unchanged the metal body and the ability to choose configurations with FullHD screen as an alternative to those with 4k display; the laptop can be equipped with 16GB of RAM and storage compartment divided into hard drives with capacities up to 2 TB and PCIe SSD up to 256 GB. Rounding out the picture the sound system developed in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen, and the presence of two USB 3.0 ports Gen 1, USB Type C, HDMI port and SD card reader.
HP ENVY 15.6″ and 17.3″
Even Envy laptops with screens 15.6 ” and 17.3 ” (Envy not type, so no rotating touch display), reaffirm the hallmarks of the reinventing line the metal housing, but reducing weight and thickness the previous models. a renewal that affects not only the appearance but also the hardware platform based on the new Intel Core processors of the sixth generation.

Prices and availability
HP ENVY x360 will be available from 1st June at the HP.com website with prices starting at $679.99. HP ENVY 15.6″ will be available from May 25 at the HP.com site, and from June 12 through resellers with prices starting at $779.99.
The HP ENVY availability with 17.3″ screen is set for June 1 at the HP.com website with a price for the base configuration of $1,029.99.
