HP ZBook x2 PC: Powerful, Convertible, Expensive
HP ZBook x2 PC is a new convertible computer featuring hardware with great computational power.
Over the years, we have witnessed a dramatic increase in powerful solutions, for a professional audience, but at the same time with all the components crammed into small chassis. The Surface Pro line has been pioneering in this sense, but it is not the only one to offer these features.

HP ZBook x2 is added to the new convertibles announced by the company, HP Specter x2 and HP Elite x2. The new convertible makes power its strong point: under the body, we find an Intel Core i7 quad-core processor with Kaby Lake architecture, up to a maximum of 32 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA Quadro M620 GPU that, according to data released by the company, gives a 73% advantage over the new Surface Pro in terms of graphics performance. The heat generated by the hardware is managed by a double fan cooling system.
The keyboard module also offers 18 customizable hotkeys depending on the application, and can be connected to an HP pen that does not need to be recharged. The pen makes use of Wacom EMR technology, supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity and has tilt recognition capabilities as well as dedicated rubber.
The HP convertible can be used in detached mode, the best for pen writing, while connecting to the HP ZBook Studio derivative keyboard becomes a traditional workstation.
The computer can also be connected to a docking station, through which you can feed two additional 4K monitors or five screens in total. HP Zbook x2 uses a die-cast aluminum and magnesium body and weighs 1.6 kilograms with a thickness of 14.6 mm in tablet mode, which become 2.2 kilograms and 20.3 mm in laptop mode. The screen is multi-touch and supports 4K resolution with a diagonal of 14 inches, while optionally you can choose the HP DreamColor 10-bit and 100% gamut on AdobeRGB.
Regarding the autonomy operating on a single charge, according to the tests carried out by HP is guaranteed the full working day with 10 continuous hours, and the fast recharge allows you to get 50% (from 0) in just 30 minutes.
The convertible allows you to implement up to 2TB of space on SSD PCIe drives, also incorporates a full-size SD card slot, and complies with the MIL-STD 810G standard for shock and drop resistance.
