HTC Announces New One A9: The first with Android Marshmallow
It has just concluded the launch event of the new HTC One A9, a smartphone from the premium design and the interesting technical features, but also the first of the family to be One with OS Android M, the atest version of the OS Google, which promises excellent performance even with low hardware profile and a number of other interesting innovations.
During these last few minutes was held in different countries of the world simultaneously a launch event organized by Taiwanese manufacturer HTC to announce officially what will be its new flagship smartphone for the coming months, at least until you see the light on successor of HTC One M9.
The smartphone in question is called the HTC One A9 and, according to a statement of the Asian manufacturer, incorporates the stylistic canons of the series M through a process called ” metalmophics “, from the metal with which it is carried out in every detail.
The body changes shape and then the lines are redefined becoming even cleaner. The similarity with the device competitor for excellence is indisputable, though, deeply analyzing the reference design, the first smartphone in aluminum with plastic inserts linear, back in 2013, the HTC One M8.
In front of this, new HTC One A9 are a 5-inch AMOLED display resolution to 1,920×1,080 pixels, protected by a glass front of type Gorilla Glass 4, Corning the latest technology available. The overall dimensions of the solution came in at 145.75 x 70.8. x 7.26 mm, for a total weight of 143 grams.
Inside the smartphone there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 617, octa core 64-bit. It is one of Qualcomm chips of the latest generation, capable of ensuring a good degree of performance while keeping an eye towards the operational autonomy. The SoC is assisted in his duties by 2 GB of RAM, while the internal memory amounts to 16 GB, expandable via microSD memory cards up to 2TB.
Do not miss the LTE connectivity, and the front have a fingerprint sensor very precisely and quickly. The sensor is integrated into a button not clickable, but through which the ” pressure ” to return to the home screen from any app.
One of the characteristics on which HTC has emphasized, in particular is definitely the camera. The new HTC One A9 is equipped with a module 13-megapixel resolution whose lens in sapphire crystal is able to withstand scratches and shocks more efficiently than the roofs of the cameras of many other smartphones. The opening focal length f/2.0, combined with the BSI sensor and the optical image stabilizer, allows to obtain excellent shots even in case of environmental brightness is not optimal.
The front camera is instead the familiar UltraPixel room that held the function of the main camera in HTC One M7 and HTC One M8. Again we have an opening f/2.0 and a sensor that can shoot video in Full HD.
The operating system is Android and for the first time is the latest version of the OS from Google, which is the 6.0 Marshmallow.
Obviously, it is not the release unvarnished as HTC has integrated its custom interface Sense in the latest version available, consistently ranked one of the best, if not the absolute best with regard to custom UI system of green robot.
The battery of 2,150 mAh provides support to the technology Quick Charge 2.0 and should be able to ensure a good autonomy also thanks to the AMOLED display only fullHD and to the processor not to the top of the performance and thus on fuel consumption.
The new HTC One A9 will be available from November at a price not confirmed.
