Huawei announces the EMUI 10 interface: it will arrive on September 8th
Huawei has announced some new features for the new EMUI 10 interface that will focus on security, new features and increasing support for devices with different form factors. You can try it from 8 September 2019.
Huawei officially released EMUI 10 during the developer conference where the HarmonyOS operating system was previously announced. The new EMUI interface happens to the previous 9.1 which was announced just a few weeks ago for some models.
The news concern the development of EMUI 10, which is now more linear and faster, as well as the integration with applications, allowing developers to take advantage of the novelties of the new interface. The connection and interconnection between devices has also been improved to make the user experience more complete.
EMUI 10: some of Huawei’s news
The management of audio and video calls on each platform will allow answering via smart-speaker (in the case of the audio part) or smart TV (in the case of video calls). There will be support for cars mounted on cars or sending a video stream from a drone to your contacts.
With EMUI 10, there will be access to hardware components that will not be specific to a particular model but based on shared resources overcoming the limitations of ad-hoc support and on constructive differences.
There will also be functions related to the business and smart-vehicle ambit will be some of the news that we will see integrated in EMUI 10. The arrival of a beta version is set for September 8, 2019 and will be available for Huawei P30 series smartphones, on other models (although we still don’t know which ones they are) as well as on the Mate 30 series.
Huawei also recalled that EMUI 10 will continue where the previous versions arrived. There will be support for many languages (now we are at 77) and distribution in many countries (we are at 216). Furthermore, the Chinese manufacturer has always stated that EMUI is currently used by 500 million active users per day.
Only EMUI 10, once released, should be used by as many as 150 million users, setting new records since the creation of this interface in 2012.
There could also be a graphical update to improve and simplify their use. As per market trends, the ” dark ” mode will be added to reduce visual fatigue and consumption on smartphones with AMOLED / OLED displays.
Security will be implemented through a security system that will be flexible and adapt to the platforms and resources available. The data will be encrypted end-to-end and will be exchanged only with authorized devices.
