Intel announces new Project Athena notebook logo
From today the distinctive badge can be used on laptops, and related information material, which meets the specifications set by Intel’s innovation program.
Intel has recently announced the new graphic label that will identify the laptops verified according to the guidelines of the ” Project Athena ” innovation program: Engineered for Mobile Performance will be the wording that will accompany these products from today onwards.
The new identifier is present starting today, for the first time, on the new 2 in 1 Dell XPS 13, one of the first systems tested based on Project Athena already available for purchase in the United States on the Dell.com website. In the coming weeks, the identifier will also be present in the marketing activities relating to HP EliteBook x360 1040 and HP EliteBook x360 830 notebooks, which are also already available and are part of the first laptops verified in the program.
Additional notebooks produced by Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Samsung are planned to coincide with the Christmas holiday period and which, we assume, could be announced at the Berlin IFA at the beginning of September.
” With Project Athena, we are radically changing our approach to innovation: we define the program, and its methodologies based on the way people use their devices every day. People in constant motion and demanding are increasingly relying on their notebooks at any time of the day: for work projects, at home, and for passion. ‘Engineered for Mobile Performance’ refers to the high-quality experience consumers can expect from these notebooks thanks to the joint engineering design by Intel and its partners. ”- Josh Newman, Intel Vice President and General Manager of PCs Innovation Segments, Client Computing Group.
Recall that with Project Athena, Intel has defined an innovation program that aims to develop a new generation of portable systems based on the research of engineers and sociologists to understand how the devices are used in practice by people and then understand what the real needs are perceived by users.
Project Athena has found support in over 100 partners. Intel’s long-term commitment to this innovation program is based on constant research to define new experiential and product-specific objectives, co-engineering support, new innovation paths and joint marketing activities. Through extensive collaboration in the ecosystem, this program will drive the innovation of the entire PC platform to create better experiences with notebooks and help people carry out the activities that interest them most.
The identification mark can be used by retailers and producers in promotional activities at sales points, in the territory or online, to communicate to the consumer the products that meet the standards of the specifications of the ” Project Athena ” program. In this first year of the program, the “Engineered for Mobile Performance” identifier indicates that the notebook was designed in collaboration with Intel to meet the key performance indicators defined by the program.
