Jabra Evolve2: noise canceling headphones and advanced features for smart workers
Jabra presents the new range of headphones dedicated to workers of today and tomorrow: the new Evolve2 makes flexibility and updated firmware one of the strengths, together with the cancellation of background noise.
Jabra presented the new range of headphones in the Evolve2 series, designed to meet the needs of concentration, collaboration, and flexibility dictated by today’s work. The three products, Evolve2 85, Evolve2 65, and Evolve2 40, offer better noise reduction performance than the previous generation while improving connection quality and battery life.
Jabra Evolve2: headphones for communication
The Jabra Evolve2 range is the direct heir of the Evolve line, presented in 2014, of which it represents a direct continuation in terms of philosophy and technologies. Jabra Evolve2 headphones focus on providing uninterrupted audio and background noise, both in sound reproduction and in the use of the microphone, on offering configuration and management flexibility and integration with the main unified communication solutions.
The first pillar on which the new headphones rest is that of noise cancellation. In essence, all three headphones of the Evolve2 range offer more microphones to remove background noise and allow you always to be clear in communicating with your interlocutors. The Evolve2 85 also offer active noise cancellation when listening, with a hybrid technology that, according to Jabra, offers 50% more noise removal than the previous generation.
The Evolve2 85 offers ten microphones in total, two of which are removable in the microphone stand: in this way, it is possible to reinsert it into the headphones for mobile use. The other eight microphones are located in the halls, where they take care of capturing the noise to remove it. The Evolve2 65 and Evolve2 40 offer three microphones, two of which in the pole (this time not removable, but simply directional) and the third on the right pavilion.
All headphones are equipped with a status LED that indicates if you are engaged in a conversation, to avoid interruptions during a meeting or a call, or simply a time when you need to concentrate and prefer not to be disturbed. Variants are available with a dedicated key for Microsoft Teams; in these versions, the status LED is also used as a notification LED to indicate missed calls or new voice messages.
In terms of design, the new Evolve2 seems to fish with full hands from the range for private users of the company: the Evolve2 85 seems very similar to the Elite 85h, while Evolve2 65 seem to resume the lines of the Elite 45h. A positive fact, given the good reception that these two models have had from the public.
Both Evolve2 85 and Evolve2 65 offer battery life which Jabra estimates in 37 hours. The Evolve2 40, on the other hand, can only be used via the cable and is not equipped with a battery. To simplify use with computers, the Evolve2 85 and Evolve2 65 are supplied with the new Jabra Link 380 Bluetooth adapter, available in both USB Type-C and USB Type-A versions. Both headphones can then be recharged either via USB Type-C cable or using the special charging base.
The headphones can be integrated with various monitoring and management software to analyze the performance of the individual headphones and to identify any problems. In this way, management by IT becomes leaner and simpler and allows for faster assistance procedures.
All headphones are equipped with upgradeable firmware, with Jabra promising constant and easily manageable updates to integrate new features and integrations with the communication systems that will emerge over the next few years.
