Lenovo IdeaPad 700 and 710S: Portable laptop for every taste and good value
At CES 2016 in Las Vegas Lenovo announced some new IdeaPad series laptops, both the modified ultrabook that traditional laptops.
Among the handsets presented by Lenovo at CES 2016 in Las Vegas there are three solutions family ideapad. Lenovo IdeaPad Y900, which we discussed on this page, and Lenovo IdeaPad 710S and IdeaPad 700. The latter two are portable very different from each other, the first devoted to the most extreme portability, the other more polished on the hardware level to be a good substitute for a traditional desktop.
We begin by Lenovo IdeaPad 710S, an ultra-book very compact that aims to lead to the end of the working day thanks to his eight hours of video playback time. It is characterized by aesthetics designed (in silver and gold), keys to the island and a total weight of only 1.16 kg. Often 13.9mm, it integrates the Intel family of processors Skylake, combined with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB storage drives via PCIe SSD. The display is a 13.3-inch IPS LCD that can reproduce a native resolution of 1080p (Full HD).
There is no discrete GPU, or options to insert one, and you will have to rely on the Intel HD Graphics or Intel Iris. In terms of connectivity, we find two USB 3.0 ports, a memory card reader, a micro-HDMI jack for audio and canons. Lenovo IdeaPad 710S will be available in July 2016 to be recommended starting price of $799.

Lenovo IdeaPad 700 includes two different models: 700-15ISK 700-17ISK, respectively 15.6 and 17.3 inches both Full HD (1,920×1,080). The two laptops have sheets almost identical, with the difference that can be enclosed in size and integrated GPU. The 15-inch model integrates a GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 and weighs just over 2kg (2.3), while the 17-inch model adopts a GeForce GT940 and nearly 3kg of pes0 (2.7). The hardware platform is common between the two variants of IdeaPad 700.
We will find family processors Intel Skylake up to Core i7, up to 16 GB of RAM and various storage solutions, both on SSD (up to 256 GB) that HDD or hybrid (up to 1 TB). On the body will be in both models 2 USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, VGA and HDMI ports for connecting any external monitors, an audio port combo headphone and microphone, an SD card reader, an Ethernet port. On the wireless does not lack compatibility with connections 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
A bit disappointing autonomy, which does not exceed the 4 hours according to official data of the company. The new IdeaPad 700 will be available from the month of June at a suggested retail price of $799.
