Lenovo ThinkCentre X1, all in an elegant and quiet one
The all in one systems can be considered excellent alternatives to traditional desktop PC: no performance compromise, attractive design, compact dimensions and generously sized screens, behind which hides all the components.
ThinkCentre X1 is at the top of the production Lenovo, with a very nice design and a noise level of very limited exercise.
In the PC world to become the main protagonist is definitely portable versions, in many variations that the market offers. There are certain contexts where the desktop PC – desktop – still has much to say.
That’s why one of the ” classic ” PC is a world that definitely sold on the sales front than notebooks, but which always and still enjoys excellent health. Think of business environments, or where you need computing power, a large display and an attractive design combined with reduced size.
The needs expressed above are fully met by those all in one systems, often abbreviated to AIO, which can be considered the evolution of traditional desktop systems consisting of houses and separate monitors.
Lenovo offers several all-in-one systems, with the top of the production the ThinkCentre X1 system. The chassis is made of aluminum alloy, and integrates a wide screen Full HD 1,920×1,080 pixel 23.8-inch diagonal display (tilt from -5 to 45 degrees), made with IPS technology, anti-glare and 250nit luminance.
Lenovo ThinkCentre X1 is also made of 65% recycled material post-consumer type, with ULE Gold certified, ENERGY STAR 6.1 and EPEAT Gold. The integrated power supply is also credited with an excellent 88% energy efficiency.
The hardware used is typical of desktop systems (Intel Core M nothing, in short): at the CPU level you can get up to Intel Core i7 processors with vPro, RAM up to 16GB (2,133MHz, DDR4), Intel HD 520 graphics card, with fans specially designed to generate as little noise as possible.
That of very low noise is one of the key points of these systems, also designed for videoconferencing business areas. The system is equipped with microphones that exclude background noise (as in noise canceling headphones), as well as speakers with Dolby audio technology, 1080p webcam and an audio-video system certified Skype for Business.
The storage subsystem is very articulated and can be customized at the time of order: it starts from the base configuration with a hybrid drive 500GB and 8GB of flash memory, which can get 1TB with minimal additional expense. No shortage of SSD, 128RB, 256GB and 180GB with OPAL 2.0.
Another highlight is the allocation of ports: side we find 2 USB 3.0 (one for rapid charging), Reader 7 in 1 card, audio inputs and outputs, while in the back are located the LAN port, DC input for power supply, 3 additional USB 3.0 and DisplayPort. Implied the presence of Wi-Fi connectivity 2×2 802.11 a/c and Bluetooth.
The weight of the system, much less relevant for mobile devices, is about 5 pounds including the metal base. Or indeed you may choose to give up the support base and leverage the optional VESA adapter to attach to the wall or in other configurations the system.
Included are also provided keyboard and wireless mouse, while on the front the software pre-installed operating system can be Windows 10 in Home or Pro versions.
